How Card Payments work

With Netcash, you can accept payments from 3D Secured debit and credit cards issued by the most trusted providers in the world. 

  1. At checkout, customers select the card payment option as their preferred payment method.
  2. They enter their card details and proceed with the payment.
  3. The 3D Secure page will appear, and if the customer’s bank requires authentication for the transaction, the customer will be asked to do so. This is usually via a password, banking app approval message, or one-time PIN (OTP). If 3D Secure 2 is in place, no authentication will be required.
  4. The customer will then make payment, and once successfully processed will appear in your Netcash account. You will be instantly notified of successful payments via SMS and Email.

What cards can I accept with Netcash?
You can accept all Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners debit (cheque) and credit cards.
Can I accept payments in foreign currency?
You can accept payment made by foreign bank cards, so long as they are 3D Secure enabled. You will be settled in ZAR however, as Netcash does not provide ForEx services.
How do I know if a payment has been successful?
You can turn on notifications in your Netcash account to receive instant updates when payments are made via SMS and email. In addition, you can check the reports and statements in your Netcash account to confirm whether or not a payment has been successful, or funds received.
